If you've been reading my stories, you know that after losing my job at 60, I began looking for possibilities instead of permission.

But I didn't get there overnight.

For a long time, I kept looking for someone else to tell me what I should do next.

Was I too old to start over?
What if I chose the wrong thing?
What if I wasn't capable of learning something completely new?

I think what frightened me most was trusting myself enough to try—without knowing how it would turn out.

Eventually, I realized I didn't need permission to find out what else might be possible.
